Giving Health.

VIRTUAL MEDICAL CARE

  • FREE around the clock access to licensed physicians for common illnesses and minor injuries

  • Telephonic or video consultations

  • Emergency medication refills for many chronic conditions

  • Assistance seeking in-person primary and specialty services

  • Medical notes for employees to document absence from work

 

Conditions Treated:  COVID-19, Allergies, Asthma, Bronchitis, Cold, Acute Sinusitis, Earaches, Female Health, Fever, Sore Throat, Migraines, Nausea, Skin Rashes, Urinary Tract Infections, Bacterial Infections, Pink Eye, Infections, Poison Ivy Rash, Gum and Tooth Infections, Eye Irritation, Minor Pediatric Ailments, and so much more.  This program does not treat chronic or critical conditions or emergencies.
 

VIRTUAL MENTAL HEALTH CARE

  • FREE around the clock access to licensed professional counselors for common counseling needs

  • Telephonic or video consultations

  • Confidential service – information is only shared with written permission of the member or when there is a risk of harm

  • Assistance seeking other community-based organizations to address complex mental health needs

  • Mental health medications are not prescribed or refilled by this program

 

Conditions Treated: Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Death, Grief, Transition, Divorce, Marriage, Family Relations and Parenting Concerns, Major Illness and Traumatic Injury, Alcohol and Drug abuse, Financial and Workplace Concerns and so much more. This program does not treat complex mental health conditions including Bi-Polar, Paranoia, or Schizophrenia disorders.

VIRTUAL SOCIAL CARE

 

  • FREE screening and social services referrals

  • Member advocacy and support accessing resources to address housing, utilities, food, transportation, and other immediate member needs

  • Member training on the proper use of public facing social services referral platforms

  • Referrals to community-based organizations to address immediate social needs
     

Referrals:  Free and Charitable Clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and access to Housing, Rent, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Transportation, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Utility Assistance, Medicaid and so much more.

DISCOUNT PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION PROGRAM

  • Members PAY for their medications

  • Discount prescription drug card is provided to offset cost of medications

  • Use preferred local pharmacy to pick up prescriptions

  • Mail order and other discount options are available

  • DEA controlled substances, mental health medications, prescription sleep aids, and lifestyle medications are not available

Rx Emergency Refills:  Physicians may provide 30-day emergency refills for common chronic conditions including asthma, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, thyroid disorders, high cholesterol, and so much more.

SERVICES COMING SOON

Virtual Primary Care

This is a form of primary care that leverages technology to give patients convenient virtual access to primary care services.  Benefits of this new program include:

 

  • Establishment of a patient – physician relationship

  • Access to lab services

  • Expanded mental health services

  • Referral to specialty providers

  • Emphasis on prevention and health education
     

Giving Health is piloting Virtual Primary Care and anticipates offering this program statewide by the end of 2024. 

COST

 

All Giving Health members and up to 7 immediate family members are provided FREE access to Giving Health services for 12 months.

There are no membership fees, utilization fees, consultation fees, or hidden fees to become a member of Giving Health and consult with physicians, counselors, or our member advocacy team. 

Members  pay for their prescriptions that are typically low-cost generics.  A discount prescription drug card is included in the program and members are also educated on other options for obtaining affordable prescription medications.
